Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God, and He stepped out of the glory of heaven to be born of a virgin named Mary over 2000 years ago in Bethlehem. Jesus didn’t just come to inspire us— He came to save us from sin and death.
As humans, we all fall short of perfection. But Jesus is the sinless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Jesus healed the sick, raised people from the dead, and forgave people of their sins to authenticate His divine authority. But, He was not always well-received and was unjustly crucified by religious leaders who coveted power and their own self-righteousness.
Nevertheless, Jesus is one with the Father and Holy Spirit, and He knows the end from the beginning. Jesus willingly laid down His life on the cross to redeem us of our sins by the blood He shed for us. After being buried and rising to life on the third day, He proved to all that God is faithful, true, and that Jesus’ sacrifice to redeem us from sin is finished once for all.
The free gift of God is received through true repentance and calling on the name of Lord— Jesus Christ.
Only in Jesus’ name are the crushed in spirit healed, the lost found, and the dead born again to new life in Christ. When we renounce sin and turn to the Lord in humility and repentance, we can know God’s mercy, grace, forgiveness, peace, and eternal life. We can know true love, for God is love. The ultimate example of love was demonstrated at the cross, when Jesus paid the debt we can never pay ourselves.Dear God in Heaven,
Thank You for my life and your provision, even when I’ve hurt You and others. I believe Jesus died at the cross and rose again to life to redeem me from my sins and I come to You now to ask for your forgiveness and mercy.
Cleanse me from all unrighteousness and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Please allow me into Your kingdom, and help me to start over so I can be a blessing to others and to You.
Thank You for Jesus, and thank You for Your love!
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Our help is in the name
of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Thank you Jesus, that you have answered me and have become my salvation.

Why is the name of Jesus called the name above every name?
Philippians 2:9-11 says God exalted Him and gave Him the name above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. Acts 4:12 adds that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.
What does it mean to call on the name of the Lord?
It means turning to Him in honest repentance and trust and just being real with Him about where you’re at in life. Proverbs 18:10 pictures it as running into a strong tower and being safe.
